Had a great couple of days fishing with Brent this past week. We were not able to make it to the Sowbug Roundup in Mt. Home but got the next best thing. Arrived at the house after church Sunday about 5:30 p.m. I was a little surprised when the generation schedule said they would be off at 9 a.m. Monday. With all the rain the lakes are above conservation pool. When this happens they often run non-stop until they pull the lake levels down. So we were blessed when they shut off on schedule. Another thing that is happening is that the COE seems to be unable to come to a standard way of reporting how the generators are operating since minimum flow. I hope they get it straightened out soon. The saving grace is the webcams. At least in the daylight you can actually see what is going on.
At any rate we had a great time Monday. We both like to sight fish and conditions were perfect for that. Both of us caught several nice fish on Ruby Midges. We had one rather large bow spotted but could not entice the strike. The one below was not so finicky.
The underwater shot! We were serenaded by eagles all day Monday. Very cool!
We caught several cutts but noting like the size we were getting a couple of years ago. Seem to still be the ones that they stock not the fish from the eggs that were planted.
Fished out of the boat Thursday and did pretty good. Neither one of us get to excited about fishing on high water but my guess is that is all there will be for awhile. Brent is headed back to AK Tuesday and we are already making plans for this summer!
