Can’t think of a better way to spend the Christmas holidays than fishing with friends and family. Bro. was having Christmas in AR with his oldest son and his family. Since t had been way too long since I fished with my nephew I made the run up for a couple of days. It was certainly worth the effort.
Had a couple of great days on the Fork. Weather was perfect cool and raining! Monday hit Dry Run Creek with David III and then down river to the C&R. David did pretty good for his first trip in some time. He turns 16 next year we are hoping to get him one more trip in before then. Learning a lot about Dry Run that is surprising! His dad David II got me started fly fishing. Picked up some quality fish down river. Have found you need to be patient on falling water. Seems like the fishing just gets better as the day wears on.
Tuesday spent more time at Dry Run and then fished the dam. Fishing on Dry Run was even better this day. As I have said before the dam is one of my favorite places to fish if it is not crowded it wasn’t. The sow bug is hard to beat up there although the midge is a close second. Had lunch at Heidi’s in Norfork can’t beat the Turkey Rubin.
Don’t know when we will be back but hopefully not too long.

Don’t get any ideas this is in our next door neighbor’s back yard in MS. Isn’t that a nice coon?
