Let’s get this story started. Well things started off rather auspiciously as our flight out of Jackson was canceled because of hurricane Issac. When I called to check on our options Delta rescheduled to an earlier flight and so we got out of town at 9 a.m. instead of 5 p.m.
The flight from Seattle to Anchorage was amazing. No clouds from the time we came into view of the Alaskan coast until we landed. Saw places we had never been able to see before. Like this.
We took it easy on Wednesday and went to the Alaska State Fair on Thursday. This was a first for us.
This is Gail and me with a 391 lb. pumpkin grown in the Matt-Su valley.
Rosemary riding her Harley.
Brent and I got in about an hour or so fishing on Willow Creek. We are in an RV park right on the river we hope to get in bit more tomorrow Friday, August 31 before we begin moving them into their “new” apartment Saturday. Next week we are headed to the Kenai.
