Had a great week (actually three days) of fishing on the Norfork. Started out Monday at the Ackerman access. Caught all bows mostly on the tan scud. The highlight of the day actually the trip was meeting up with Mike from St. Louis. Mike was fishing the same area and was interested in getting his first flyrod. I let him try mine out and in about five minutes he had his first trout on the long rod.
We agreed to meet up at the dam and give Mike a chance to really give the fly-rod a try. Mike was a quick learner and was casting great for a rookie. We caught fish pretty much all day and a couple of runs that were stellar. Mike and I fished again Thursday and had a bout the same results. Only this time Mike was fishing with his own outfit. I think he is hooked (pun intended.) I am looking forward to the next time Mike and I get to fish together.
