Had the privilege of taking long time friend Tim Thomas trout fishing in AR. Tim went to church with me in Cruger, MS and we left from there. Hit the confluence on Monday and it was a great start. Fished up stream and we were into fish pretty quickly. Nothing big but pretty good numbers. Tim got a chance to get the “rust” off. WE fished the Norfork on Tuesday. Jack was able to go with us. We were hoping for some bigger fish and we were not disappointed. The highlight for me came early as we were waiting for the water to fall out a nice cutthroat took a hopper off the top. Put Tim in the hotspot and he had pretty steady action all day. He caught his biggest trout to date. Jack and I did OK. Jack cooked chili for us Monday and we ate it Wednesday too.
