I don’t often make it to Arkansas twice in one month (that could change soon.) Had to go up and mow the grass before we head to AK the first of June.
David, my brother, and I headed out Thursday afternoon about 3p.m. I had lunch with Peter who is a missionary to China. It was very humbling. He is a medical doctor and he and his family have been there since 1997. He had some great stories about what God is doing there.
We arrived in Norfork about 9 ish hooked up the boat and got the rods ready.
Friday we were out early. Made it down to the long hole and set up in our favorite spot. Bro had one right off the bat. We picked up a couple more and I headed down river to my new favorite spot. Got several on the zebra midge making long casts (for me) and a long drifts. Most of the action came at the end of the drift when the line was completely straightened out. Go figure.
Here’s a couple of pics.
Another fisherman had moved into our previous favorite spot and was wearing them out. Don’t you love it when that happens!
We satyed out until about 2 p.m. and headed back to mow afore mentioned grass.
It was good as always. No rain the water was beautiful and we really enjoyed it.
Hope to be back the end of June after the Alaska trip.
